Little Feat and Hot Tuna 50th Anniversary Tours!
Larry and Teresa are thrilled to be touring this fall with two of the most iconic bands in American rock music history, Hot Tuna and Little Feat, both celebrating their 50th year as bands.
‘Tuna’ was formed in 1969 by Jefferson Airplane alumni (and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees) Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady as an outlet for their explorations of American blues and roots music. For this tour Jorma and Jack will forgo the electric guitars and amps for acoustic instruments with the added bonus of incorporating Campbell and Williams’ contributions to the mix. Larry produced Hot Tuna’s 2011 release Steady As She Goes as well as Jorma’s 2009 solo album Ain’t in No Hurry.
Little Feat, also launched in 1969, was the creation of founding members Lowell George, Bill Payne, Ritchie Hayward and Roy Estrada. In 1972, Estrada departed and Paul Barerre, Sam Clayton and Kenny Gradney joined the group. The band persevered despite the losses of George and Hayward, and with the addition of Fred Tackett on guitar and Gabe Ford on drums remains a potent blend of rock, funk and fusion. Larry and Teresa have performed numerous times with ‘Feat’ at Ramble on the Island in Jamaica and elsewhere adding their own magic to Feat classics like “Willin,” “All that You Dream” and “Oh Atlanta.”
